   Truth in Taxation Public Hearing: 2026 Property Tax Levy, 2025 Revised/2026 Proposed Budget, and Proposed 2026 Utility Rates

   The Council held the statutory Truth in Taxation hearing on the proposed 2026 gross tax levy of $31,749,380 (a 6.16% increase over 2025) and the $35,134,115 General Fund budget. Six residents testified about property tax increases ranging from 8% to 54% on individual statements over recent years, and raised concerns about short-term rental fees and affordability. The Council voted 5-0 to close the hearing and voted 5-0 to schedule final adoption of the levy, budget, and utility rates for December 9, 2025.
